A pre-assessment audit is a complete audit of the quality management system to determine readiness for a certification audit by a registrar. Pre-assessment audits compare the requirements of the standard (ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO 14001, AS9100, TS16949, etc.) to the company's documentation and actual business practices.
